Do you think we’ll see a successful trip to Mars?

Elon Musk’s trip to Mars is about more than just exploring another planet; it represents a giant leap for humankind. The successful colonization of Mars could serve as a backup plan for humanity in the face of potential catastrophic events on Earth, such as natural disasters or pandemics. Moreover, it would advance our understanding of planetary science, inspire generations, and foster international collaboration towards a shared goal.

Elon Musk’s trip to Mars encapsulates his bold vision for humanity’s future. Through SpaceX’s ambitious endeavors and cutting-edge technology, Musk is determined to make interplanetary colonization a reality. By leveraging reusability, advanced spacecraft, and innovative engineering, he aims to establish a self-sustaining colony on Mars, paving the way for the expansion of human civilization beyond our home planet. The journey to Mars represents a historic undertaking that could redefine our place in the universe and inspire generations to dream big and push the boundaries of what we thought was possible

We might see a trip to Mars, but not colonization. Musk is determined to inhabit Mars, but I don't think it will happen in the near future. I saw a scientist say the future of further colonization is going to be the ocean floor- this seems much more likely and feasible. Who knows though- anything is possible.

@peepso_user_67(Debbie Costello) He has a point!

@peepso_user_819(Pam Elizabeth) Hi Pam... He sure does! We don't take care of 1 planet, nevermind 2!

@peepso_user_67(Debbie Costello) I agree!

I doubt we'll see a manned trip to Mars in our lifetime, or at least not a successful one. I don't think any billionaire actually has the resources, will, or patience to do it right(see: titan submersible). There is also almost no reason to go there, other than "we can, maybe." There's no air to breathe, no water to drink, and no precious materials to mine easily.

@peepso_user_208(Resistor Mike) agreed, while there is scientific proof of early life, Mars has only 10% Oxygen and no way to sustain human life. Geo engineering could go a long way on this planet.

@peepso_user_67(Debbie Costello) l agree Debbie we could use some geo engineering to help save this planet.
